Thanks for the comment, it has been over a year since FNL has be active and in hindsight, even though they started out strong, their content has dipped dramatically (for example, no more comment areas on their sites) and their intent is perplexing to say the least. Thanks again for commenting!

I just said the same thing to myself. Apparently Mister Rios thinks he is bigger and smarter than Ruppert Murdoch and Roger Ailes, who have been masters at manipulating and steering masses via allegedly “fair and balanced” and “LEFTIST” (wink) Republican friendly sites like FAUX News Latino.

Point of discomfort: (Rios) “I do believe that Fox News Latino should be given credit for taking the initiative to reach this community.”

THAT is exactly what FAUX wanted. Obligation and votes.

Of course they are targeting the Latino population. So frequently do Latinos identify with the conservative agenda, not doing so would be a big mistake and and missed opportunity. They get zero kudos for that.

I’m equally disgusted by the left as well as the right. BUT, since the left keeps offering us that elusive mana from the sky and never actually coming through, I would rather go to sleep with someone who tells me they’re going to stab me than someone who doesn’t but has the intention of doing so. At least, I will have one eye open. With the left, you can’t do that.

Thank you for you insightful reply. And yes, Soy Boricua. I’m surprised that you would ask. I have actually been to the site and yes, I agree there are some heartfelt stories and opinions there. However, if the Nazi Party, White Supremacist Parties, Right or Left Wing radical parties offered an association to present my views and pretend they are REALLY interested in me I would reject it out of hand. Remember, all candy is not sweet.

I, too, as I said was skeptical FNL but I have actually have learned and read their coverage and I have to say, there is no other Ameican media outlet in the US that provides such comprehensive coverage of Latino issues. Have you read the excellent article about the two Puerto Rican soldiers who died in the Middle East? Como boricua viviendo en Boston, me impresionó much. I could NEVER get an article like this in other US papers.

Also, do you realize that Being Latino’s content is now on one of the largest websites in the world? That means millions of views. If you have issues with FNL, let them know,. They are actually very open to engage people on social media.
