I think the issue of dual citizenship is a huge one that is VERY attractive. That I would think is the best solution.

IT is probably a political gimmick. The polls show him well behind. He needs to rekindled his political viability. He knows the issue which may ignite the passion of his base is the status issue so he is grabbing it as life saver. Everyone knows it, so we are not moving ahead ignoring this fact. But his initiative, supported by the White House report may also be an opportunity for others, such as supporters of Free Assoc..This political option is relatively new in the P.R. political panorama and many are asking what is it. The plebiscite may be an opportunity to educate about Free Assoc. and more so if the others options decide to stay home and not participate.

It is a calculated risk, but that is life , a risk.

I will give Fortuño credit (maybe it is the poll results) but his message is more open and inviting than I would originally think. All of a sudden, he is a moderate? Poll numbers do that to you.

Free Assoc. has no political party behind it , so ALAS today asked the governor to let ALAS participate in the Dialogue Committee. We hope he will act in good faith and do so. We will keep you posted.

We also sent a letter to the White House Task Force which I sent to your dad, you may also see it in Oscar Pintado facebook page.
