Ok, mi gente. It is Viva Viernes time again. I have really loved the spirit and joy that this trend has produced among the online Latino community. Please keep spreading the love, we will be a social media force! ¡Feliz 4 de julio! Abrazos, Julio

PD Take a moment to celebrate America and my brother Fernando Varela, whose AMAZING rendition of the National Anthem is the best one ever. Yes, I said it. Bring it. ¡Jejeje! His You Tube link is at the end of this post.
Please Follow/Favor de seguir a:
@lauraigomez: This is pretty simple as to my reasons: because Laura has a passion and joy to her tweets. She is also one sharp and amazing person who is one of the top language people I have met on Twitter. She also loves sushi, is from the Bay Area (Boston’s twin city), and has been known to enjoy a samba or two.
@SACultura: Not only is SACultura based in San Antonio (my favorite Latino city in the US), but I love to tweet about soccer, Latin American history, culture, and issues with this amazing Tweep. SA Cultura is doing so much when it comes to educating people about why Latinos are who they are. A great amigo.
@todobebe: There are no more bebés in the Varela household (la fábrica está cerrrada jejeje), but you got to love a place that markets its niche. Also makes some great posts. And based in Miami (my second favorite Latino city in the US).
@LilKatD: Muy sencillo here: because she LOVES fútbol (don’t call it soccer with this Honduran football fanatic). And I thought I worshipped Cesc Fabregas, she basically wants to be Cesc Fabregas. LikKat has also tweeted a bit this week about her country (hello, Latin American politics, nice to see you again) and we should be thinking of her during these crazy times down there. Only problem with Lil: she roots for Brazil. Boo. Jejeje.
@JessieNuez: Anyone (and I mean anyone) who lives in the Heights in NYC is down with me. Jessie is NYC Latino through and through. She interacts on Twitter and is just so cool. ¡Viva!
And finallly, take a moment and celebrate America with my brother, Fernando Varela:
Awesome post! Barely catching up from my crazy 4th of July Vegas weekend – but when I read this – I felt so honored.
Gracias Julito!

Crazy 4th of July weekend, huh? What goes in Vegas stays in Vegas. Jejeje.
