America's Top Latino Hater
1 in 6.
Maybe Fox News Channel did indeed read the latest US Census report that shows the US Latino population growing faster than any other group in the country. Maybe it felt that when 1 out of every 6 Americans right now are of Latino origin and 1 out of every 4 children are Latino, you might want to start rethinking your media strategy. There were signs of this when Fox launched Fox News Latino last year and began to actively focus on content central to the Latino viewing audience.
Or maybe it was because, according to the Associated Press, 400 advertisers refused to have their ads run during The Glenn Beck Show.
Nonetheless, it’s official, Glenn Beck, America’s favorite conspiracy-theory-Latino-hating-extremist-Tea Party-looney (or as we say in Spanish, EL GRAN PENDEJO), will no longer have his show on Fox The AP reported this afternoon the following:
Fox News Channel on Wednesday said it was dropping Glenn Beck’s afternoon talk show, which has sunk in the ratings and suffered financially due to an advertiser boycott.
Fox and Beck said the show will end later this year.
We applaud Fox for making this decision and yes, we are not idealistic enough to think that it cancelled Beck because of his craziness. This was purely about MONEY, DINERO, CLAMS, MOOLAH.
But who cares? This is very major news, and one that has been long coming. As the article reports:
Beck’s 5 p.m. ET show averaged 2.7 million viewers during the first three months of 2010, and was at just under 2 million for the same period this year, the Nielsen Co. said. His decline was sharper among younger viewers sought by advertisers.
Increasingly, the show began to be dominated by Beck standing in front of a chalk board giving his theories about the world’s troubles.
However, Beck has built a powerful brand for himself with a radio show and digital properties. A key Fox executive, Joel Cheatwood, is joining Mercury Radio Arts later this month.
“I truly believe that America owes a lot to Roger Ailes and Fox News,” Beck said in a statement. “I cannot repay Roger for the lessons I’ve learned and will continue to learn from him and I look forward to starting this new phase of our partnership.”
One of Beck’s most prominent critics — David Brock, founder of the liberal watchdog Media Matters for America — said that “the only surprise is that it took Fox News months to reach this decision.”
What’s next for America’s Favorite Latino Hater? We are sure he is savvy enough to show up somewhere with his chalkboards and theories of a “lost America.” Let the speculation run rampant, we don’t care today. Today, we sing!
Beck’s show is currently getting almost a 30% larger audience then the next two cable networks combined.
Why is this considered a horrible drop in ratings again?
And, for that matter, why do you believe he ‘hates Latinos’?
Thanks for the comment. Interesting that you are trying to defend a show that FOX is canceling.
As for the Latino comment, are you watching the same show? You are joking, right. Issues he has pissed Latinos off on: immigration. Oh yeah, his comments about Puerto Rico were enlightening as well.
Beck is an extremist freak that is bad for this country, just like Olbermann.
Thank you, Fox, for firing him.
Julito; just so I’m clear on this, does that mean that everyone who is for enforcing immigration laws ‘hates Latinos’?
Yes, I’m defending a show that Fox is canceling. His show ratings are higher then the next two cable shows combined:
http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/04/06/dr-drew-drops-like-a-rock-on-second-night-cable-news-ratings-for-tuesday-april-5-2011/88519
When a show that criticizes the most powerful man in the world is canceled despite its high ratings, that’s not a positive thing. Despite the fact that you believe he ‘hates Latinos’ because he wants to enforce immigration laws.
John, yes. Simple as that. Enforcement of immigration is actually shared by many. But yours and Beck’s take on it compared to mine is different from yours: I think our current immigration policy is misguided and unjust. You think differently. I won’t convince and you won’t convince me. Best to move.
Also, BTW, did I mention that FOX news cancelled his show?
Thanks for the comment.
Beck is quitting to run a Palin’s VP in 2012 — a dream ticket for the Tea Party — and the Democrats.
BTW, for anyone who thinks Beck does not hate Latinos, check out this “humorous” faux ad Beck aired for “Mexinol,” a fuel made from human bodies — Mexican bodies, to be exact. If you think Auschwitz was funny, you’ll think this is a scream.

Raul, yeah, Glenn Beck doesn’t hate Latinos. I think what you share seals the deal about the ignorance that is out there. #1in6
Really??? That’s awful! Take a listen again, he was ridiculing how insane that is as an idea; and stated how it was “psychopathic”.
But, beyond that Raul, have you been to Auschwitz??? I, actually have; the smell of burning human flesh NEVER leaves. PLEASE, please don’t use talking points like that so flippantly.
I realize you’re trying to make a point, but WOW- that really strikes against your credibility.
It’s just disgusting and the average American who has never been there or stared point blank into the “ovens” and stood there…
STOOD THERE, smelling the indescribably malodorous/ noxious smell and felt how powerless/claustrophobic and helpless those people must have felt in those fleeting moments…Can anyone really feel what THOSE people felt?
I can try to empathize with your end goal, as a Native American (I’m Creek and Cherokee), what you must feel like (attempting to get your point across and the frustration and anger you have towards a culture that dejects the rising latino population), but let’s stay focused on the goal; remain professional, and try to get points across in a way that rallies people instead of injecting hatred and isolationism.
Shame on you for not using facts and actual debatable points. Shame on you for leaping to the Holocaust; equating the countless who DIED in acts of genocide as victims, to try and prove a simple point of someone you wanted off television for what??? His point of view??? So change the channel, no one gets to go back and pause on great travesties of human history like Auschwitz!
It’s really sad because if you had any feelings left, you probably could get people to agree with you. Go back to the drawing board and try to back up your discussions without the obscene comparisons.
Yeah, really. I have been to Germany too and this is what Beck did:
On the June 28 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, Glenn Beck commented on a mock ad — produced by subscribers to his website known as “Insiders” — depicting a “giant refinery” that produces “Mexinol,” which, according to the ad, is a fuel made from the bodies of illegal immigrants from Mexico. Beck read from the ad: “At Evil Conservative Industries, we know four things for certain. The country needs cheap, alternative fuel source. Two, the human body is 18 percent carbon. Three, carbons can be turned into hydrocarbons. Four, we have a buttload of illegal aliens in our country.”
Beck continued to read from the ad: “Evil Conservative Industries is proud to present the fuel of the future, Mexinol. A clean-burning, cheap alternative to gasoline, Mexinol’s future seems unlimited in its potential. There are other gasoline alternatives available such as ethanol. However, Mexinol has certain advantages from corn. Corn has to be grown, harvested, and processed. With Mexinol, raw materials come to you in a seemingly never-ending stream. Go ahead and purchase that boat-sized SUV. There’s plenty of Mexinol for everyone.”
Beck introduced the discussion by saying, “Sometimes the Insiders go too far,” and later said, “I don’t think we need to make the illegal aliens into fuel.” Beck also said, “That would be evil conservative, yeah. I don’t even know if that’s conservative. That would be … [p]sychotic, perhaps? Sociopathic, perhaps?” Beck’s executive producer and head writer, Steve “Stu” Burguiere, added, “Just evil, pretty much.” However, as of June 29, the ad was posted on the front page of Beck’s website under the title “Picture of the Day,” with a caption that described the “ad” as a “brilliant creation.”
Flyrtysusan – The ideas behind the Mexinol ad and the ideas behind Auschwitz come from exactly the same place. I have no doubt you were horrified by the sights and smells of the Nazi extermination camp. All the more reason why suggesting something similar is hardly funny. I suggest you direct your comments to the creators of the Mexinol ad and to Beck for airing it.
Well said!
hasta la vista mr. beck!
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, HEY HEY HEY GOODBYE!!!
We do the Latina dance of joy! But with caution….do you think this means he’s trying to run for office???? I shudder to think
If he does, then we run a Latina vagina against him. The vagina wins in a landslide.
Bravo Raul and Julio! Thank you for being advocates for Latinos everywhere and also advocates for human rights.
This is GREAT news! Thanks so much for sharing this!!! =)
Why is it if you disagree with someone you hate their race/gender/ethnicity/etc? Why is it that every race thinks they should be catered to in whatever country they reside in? Why is it that when you apply for a job in Norcross Georgia if you are not bi lingual you are kicked off the employment kiosk on the third question? If I moved to a foreign country, say France, I wouldnt expect them to learn English for me. I would learn their language, French. So why in America are schools teaching Spanish instead of English classes? It’s insanity in my opinion. But yea! Glenn Beck is off cable tv! You do realize he is gonna have a 2 hour online show daily that will not be censored or controlled by the FCC like when he was on fox? Just remember, racial pride is racial pride for every race, except whites, if they have pride it’s racism. So glad West Virginia is a little piece of southern comfort far enough north to not be bothered by alot of the narrow minded self righteous people in this country. I support and cheer for every American and wish every legal citizen or undocumented resident all the best, but when you use your freedom of speech to deny someone elses freedom of speech, I can’t support that. like the old saying goes I don’t agree with what you say but I’ll fight to the death your right to say it. Too bad that’s not the case in America anymore, if someone doesn’t like where they live, why live there? Why move to a country you don’t like?
Whatever, bro. Thanks for the comment. Change sucks, doesn’t it?
“Blenn”, sounds like you don’t have a very firm grip on the issues. Sadly, many “Americans” hold your perspective. First off, it has nothing to do with Beck disagreeing, it has to do with the fact that he often dismisses Americans who don’t look like him. All you have to do is open your ears and listen to discover this.
Secondly…”catered to”? Are you trying to imply that minorities shouldn’t receive the same special treatment as “whites”. Interesting how rights for some Americans are acceptable, and for others, it’s made to sound like a dirty, undeserved privilege. Believe it or not, EVERYONE does have an opinion and…believe it or not, that’s why Glenn Beck is out. It’s a sign that people of color are gaining on equality and of course, individuals who aren’t used to sharing America are threatened.
Thirdly, why were you rejected for not being bilingual? Laziness! Why is that so many countries around the world can except multilingualism…including most of Europe!…but Americans have this strange idea that only one language is acceptable? Is this useful? Is this smart? I think it my be a career ‘boo-boo’ to live with this kind of mindset. That fact is that we live in a global community and that doesn’t just consist of Latinos or Spanish, but many, many, many more communities and languages! Ummm…common sense? Yeah, I think so. 😉
Why are schools teaching Spanish? 1. To regain lost cultural ties, 2. to compete in a global economy. Did you know that nearly 10% of the world speaks Spanish? Yeah, it’s not just “illegal” immigrants. But I guess we’d have to be educated on a more than just Glenn Beck to know that. Maybe I should also remind you that “Americans” also spoke Spanish when we declared our nation? Oh…and French, and…should I continue? Bilingualism is nothing new…the fact that so many are upset about it shows their prejudice…really, why are you mad at a language???
Anyway, I’m tired of answering these snooty one-sided questions, but I’ll say this, the fact that Beck will continue preaching his tragic political views is proof that this country has a long way to go. At the very least, if you can’t bring yourself to recognize racism, at least recognize a man that has no compassion for anyone but those who agree with him. Not an American that I want speaking for me!
Yeah, what SHE said!!!!!
Good riddance! I used to love his show because his conspiracies seemed entertaining. BUT……his butchering of 8 million million Americans of Puerto Rican descent, calling against Statehood for the island, claiming it was a scheeme to “grandfather 8 million Puerto Ricans” on the mainland to give them the vote, proved his hatred for Hispanics! Puerto Rico has been a US unincorporated territory since 1898. The jones Safford act in 1917,granted all islanders American Citizenship. How Beck can call us “illegal immigrants being grandfathered” shows his hatred towards us. I say hatred, because he’s surely been corrected repeatedly, yet he has an agenda.
I wont hold my breath, waiting for Glenn “speck” of dust to explain how statehood for PR grandfathers me,(born in Belleville,Newark,NJ) into citizenship!! Lol. (According to Beck, PRs are here on visas,or he doesn’t consider statutory US citizens as citizens! Either way he’s wrong! A person born in Puerto Rico becomes 100% naturalized constitutional citizen when he/she steps on the US mainland/any state. Those of us born in the states are 100%constitutional citizens, but downgrade to statutory when on the island! You got that Beck? 8 know you do, but choose to ignore, you “ignoramoose” bigot!!
You got that,Beck? I know you do,but choose to ignore. You “ignoramoose”bigot! (An edit option would be nice for misspellings. Its a pain typing on a droid phone.)

Did you see this?
Glenn Beck is a bigot. Always trashing Hispanics . He indirectly denies the existence of Cameron Díaz,Penelope Cruz, Antonio Banderas,Rita Hayworth, Vanna White Portugal,Spain ….You see, Glenn will believe in UFO’s before he admits that White Hispanics or Latins of White background exist.
Called PR statehood a Democrat marxist plot to reelect Obama. (Nevermind the fact PR still wouldn’t be a State by 2012.)
Glen beck even trashed the Tennessee plan. Named after ” Tennessee territory south of Ohio River” (TTSOR)
TTSOR got tired of Congress ignoring their statehood petitions. Tennesseans took it upon themselves to Pick a state constitution, elect 2 senators, one representative, and went to congress as the “Delegation of the great US state of Tennessee” They demanded their seats. They lobbied for a few months. Less than a year later, Tennessee became a state.
Nebraska,California, Alaska, and others followed the Tennessee plan.
This is Puerto Rico’s eventual plan.
Well, a Hispanic state doing this was the apocalypse, according to Beck!
Beck Trashed the Tennessee Plan as Radicals leftists disrespecting Congress.
He and Fox are not breaking up completely. In a joint statement, Fox and Beck’s production company, Mercury Radio Arts, said that they will work together to produce TV projects that will air on Fox News and other Fox platforms. Beck also still has his radio show, his writing, and Beck University, an online education program.
