CNN reported earlier this morning at 4:46 AM EST that comedian Katt Williams, who has faced a social media heat storm for his 7-minute Mexican rant at a Phoenix show this last week, has issued an apology for his actions.

“My remarks were not meant to be offensive,” Williams said. “I want to apologize if my comedy act was taken out of context.”

“I sincerely appreciate my fans within the Mexican community and would never intentionally go out of my way to offend them,” he added.

Comedian Katt Williams, who made a name for himself on BET and movies, faced a heckler last night at a comedy show in Phoenix. When he confronted the heckler, Williams found out the person was of Mexican descent and began to get out of the comedy and go into a racist rant that is hard to describe.

While Williams’ racist insults continue as the crowd eggs him on, he is heard saying, “”Motherfucker thinks you can live in this country and still be allegience to another country. You know how white people said to us [blacks], ‘Go Back to Africa’ and we didn’t want to? Well, if you love Mexico, bitch, get the fuck over there.”

Here is the video of the performance.

2011.

It will forever be another turning point year for me, another year of challenges, another year of tests.

What started off as a great year has turned into a professional mess. Another job loss from corporate America. Another summer of job-searching and living off the dole. Yes, America, even Harvard graduates are looking for jobs in this economy.

There are some bright spots: all this free time has allowed me to spend A LOT of time with my kids. That is priceless. I have also been able to launch Latino Rebels quicker than I had planned, and of course, I keep adding pages to Franky Benítez. The blogging keeps me busy, and it does appear that I will officially join the Mundo Hispano TV team!

But nothing is official yet, and the work to keep the family fed and bills paid is 24/7. That is why I need a break.

So this Friday night, August 12, at 10 pm, I will be on stage, performing at ImprovBoston. This troupe, which has been part of my life since 1994, is family to me, and I am so excited to play with my fellow improvisors.

If you happen to be in Cambridge’s Central Square, this Friday night, swing by to the IB and say hi! Yes, post-show beer will be involved.

We will no longer stay silent. While the rest of the country focuses on the US-Mexico border, no one is paying attention to the con job that is being pulled in the north. At the risk of losing it all, we decided to take the LATINO REBELS to the center of the crisis: yes, be very careful, America—the real threat is up north. It is time to expose Canada and build a northern fence.

We love you, Conan. To think, we both graced the same streets in Harvard Square. Off all of the commencement speeches, this one is the best!

Harvard’s Class Day—the day before the actual Commencement—has always been the place where the REAL SPEECHES are made. This year’s speech, by SNL Alum and NBC Star Amy Poehler, was brilliant. We provide a little snippet of our favorite part: a bit of sound advice and, more importantly, her rules of life are SPOT ON!!!! Long live IMPROV!
